Mount Magazine State Park Elopement

J + J had the most romantic mountaintop elopement at Mount Magazine State Park last winter. I was so appreciative to have the opportunity to document their day.

They got ready separately at the Lodge at Mount Magazine and then had a first look along the trail. At sunset, we headed to my favorite spot for elopements at Mount Magazine and the two exchanged vows and rings. The sun set over the mountain and it was just MAGICAL. I signed their marriage license as their officiant (it’s included in all of my elopement collections!) and then we parted ways.

Mount Magazine State Park is the highest point in Arkansas, and its rugged beauty cannot be overstated. It’s beautiful virtually all year, and such a special place for an Arkansas elopement. I especially love the beautiful color in the fall and winter and early spring. I also love how secluded the park can be– we didn’t run into any other people on our hike or during the elopement ceremony.

The two basked in the sunset before heading back to their lodge room to enjoy dinner and cake with their family. All in all, it was a perfect, adventurous day.
