Considering eloping at White Rock Mountain in Arkansas? It’s stunningly beautiful, with jaw-dropping mountain views and golden sunset light, due to the cliffs facing west. It’s beautiful any time of year, and if you’re down for the rough road, a beautiful mountaintop scene awaits you at the top!
It’s also pretty secluded, which is something I really take into consideration when planning elopements for my couples! It’s nice to know you’ll have most of the views to yourself (like this elopement below!)
How to Elope at White Rock in Arkansas
Dreaming of this ethereal Arkansas mountain elopement spot? White Rock is seriously BEAUTIFUL, especially around the spring and autumn. It’s one of my very favorite places to elope in Arkansas. The rugged terrain, west-facing overlooks and beautiful sunset views make White Rock Mountain one of my favorite elopement spots.
Decide what time of year you want to elope! Spring and Fall are easy favorites for their seasonal weather and gorgeous full foliage. Additionally, you can also find amazing views in the summer and a less crowded park in the winter and early spring!
First, you’ll want to notify White Rock Recreation Area personnel about your elopement or intimate wedding plans. Planning ahead will help. You’ll want to gather any important information about your elopement or intimate wedding. As of Fall 2022, a $250 permit is current required to elope at White Rock and prior notice must be given to the White Rock Area Office. Additional permits and fees through the National Forest service may also apply. There is also a $5 parking fee for each vehicle. You can contact the park for more information.
Then, find a place to stay nearby if you don’t want to make the drive to Fayetteville or the two hour drive to Little Rock! There are cabins at White Rock or you can find Airbnbs or camping options nearby in the Ozark National Forest! Mulberry is the closest town with Airbnbs and other lodging.
Finding Vendors for Your White Rock Elopement
Book your vendors! You’ll want to keep in mind that White Rock is approximately an hour and a half from Fayetteville. Also, it’s about three hours from Little Rock and an hour from Fort Smith. So you definitely want to find an elopement photographer who has experience shooting elopements at White Rock! Additionally, you want a photographer who can find other scenic locations nearby for photos!
Enjoy your elopement and remember to practice Leave No Trace! Additionally, more information on LNT principles can be found here.
Additionally, If you’re looking for an adventure engagement or elopement photographer who is both FUN and familiar with the area, feel free to reach out to me for more information! I offer location consulting with all my elopement packages and can show you the BEST locations for elopements at White Rock!
Hello!
We’re debating on either a White Rock, Mt Magazine or Petit Jean wedding – June 2022.
We live in NWA- I see you’ve shot in both areas. Can you tell me a bit about them? We’re trying to keep our wedding party small-ish max 50 guests. We’re looking for a place with a small reception area doesn’t have to be indoors. And places for immediate family to stay afterwards.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
Hello! We are trying to find a place to elope in May of 2024, and White Rock looks exactly like what we are looking for! We will have no guest, just the groom and I. I have read your How To Elope at White Rock! We live in Springfield, Mo and are willing to travel down to Eureka! If you have any information that is helpful or could point us in the right direction as to what we need to do to get started please email me back!
Hi! I live here in Fayetteville, AR and can personally day that it is beautiful up there. There is one spot in particular that you will want to stand, which is where most people do stand, and there is nothing but the mountains in the background! It is perfect for just eloping and even a small group to be there and see you guys get married! May should be a good time of year, where it is not too hot just yet, and is green in the background!
I am personally getting married there this September and I cannot wait.
Hi! My name is Autumn and my Fiancé and I are interested in eloping at the White Rock Mountain! It’ll just be him and I along with the photographer and at least 5 close friend/family.
I was wanting to know how we go about booking and seeing the availability y’all have for October 2024! Thank you so much!
