Arkansas Winter Elopement

M + T reached out to me earlier this fall wanting something a little different for their nuptials. They wanted to invite their people and they wanted it to be in December, but they were searching for a location that felt perfect to them. I love planning winter elopements– they’re so beautiful and the colors are stunning.

I sent them photos of Sam’s Throne (one of my favorite overlooks in the Buffalo River area) and they were sold. We planned everything in about a week and then I met them for the first time on that blustery but beautiful sunlit winter day, about a week before Christmas.

Sam’s Throne is such a beautiful location! It requires about a 5 minute hike and features tons of beautiful outcroppings that are perfect for elopements or adventure sessions. I discovered this spot in 2018 and have been venturing out there ever since with my adventurous couples in tow.
