Megan and Chris reached out to me a few months ago about planning their adventurous elopement at Petit Jean State Park. Petit Jean is one of my favorite elopement places in Arkansas, and for good reason– there are CAVES! Plus tons of beautiful overlooks, lots of lodging options and plenty of hiking, camping, and waterfalls galore!
We explored Bear Cave Trail first– just a short walk from the parking lot, this walk-in cave is a must see! I brought some old fashioned lanterns and headlamps so that we could capture some cool angles within the cave.
After departing Bear Cave, we headed to the westerly facing CCC Overlook for their private elopement. As an officiant, I perform weddings for my elopement couples. Megan and Chris exchanged vows and rings overlooking the valley below and then shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
It was seriously such a perfect day, even though it was cloudy. The two enjoyed a private overlook for their vows and spent lots of time hiking and enjoying the view. It was such a laidback and easy day for both of them; all of my couples deserve such a stress-free experience!
