J + Q are not ordinary folks, and their intimate wedding on White Rock mountain wasn’t going to be ordinary. They planned their day exactly their way, including a sunset ceremony at White Rock Mountain surrounded by their friends and family, followed by some quiet time on their favorite bluff. Afterwards, they cut the cake and enjoyed chicken and biscuits while the fireflies swirled around their primitive cabin. They even planned their elopement in just a few short weeks.
I absolutely LOVE White Rock Mountain in Arkansas for elopements and intimate weddings. It can be a bit of a drive, but it’s absolutely worth it for the view and peace and quiet. For an intimate wedding or elopement at sunset in the summer, it’s especially beautiful. J + Q invited their crew to hang out at the lodge before the ceremony, while they had a private first look along the trail. J insisted on hiking to see Q herself, which I thought was so great. After seeing one another for the first time, they relaxed in their cabin and then approached their ceremony together, hand in hand.
After a brief but heartfelt ceremony, the two shared a kiss and gathered their kiddos together for some family photos. Everyone headed back to the lodge for dinner while we explored more of the mountain together.
The sunsets are absolutely stunning at White Rock Mountain. The elopement fee is just $250, which includes parking. It’s one of the only places in Arkansas that requires an elopement permit, but I do feel like this fee is fair. There are several cabins and a lodge as well that you can rent out for your intimate wedding or elopement. We captured some beautiful moments at sunset, with J + Q reminiscing on their journey together before hiking back to the lodge to cut their cake and relax with friends and family.
