While my bread and butter is adventure engagements, it’s very refreshing when a couple reaches out to me wanting the best of both worlds! M and P wanted a lush, green engagement session with an urban twist. They loved the aesthetic of Downtown Bentonville and some of my anti-bride shoots from earlier this year and last year (one of which ended up on Junebug Weddings multiple times!)
We settled on 21C Hotel, which is a modern hotel near the downtown square in Bentonville. I went to elementary school down the street back in the early 2000s and it’s so special to see how this place has transformed over the years.
I brought out some fun sunglasses and M and P walked around these pretty white buildings before we headed to the parking garage out back for more sprawling views.
Not all couples want the same classic engagement photos– lots of my couples are looking for something different. I LOVE rising to the challenge and creating a memorable experience for them.
After hanging out downtown, we headed to Dripping Springs Park in Bella Vista for some pretty photos near a creek and cave. I picked this gorgeous sunlit field for the last of the photos– and we soaked up the sunset and pleasant weather.
M and P were so fun to work with, it honestly felt like I was capturing engagement photos for two old friends! It was such a special day and I seriously can’t wait for their fall wedding at Osage House.
