I LOVE doing surprise marriage proposals. I think it’s such a special way to document becoming engaged. As an Arkansas wedding and elopement photographer, many of my couples come to me wanting photos of their unique proposal story.

Earlier this month, Lawton reached out to me about proposing to his girlfriend, Elizabeth, at her grandparent’s house in Yellville. It was such a special day. She was totally surprised and delighted when he got down on one knee. Her whole family was there to celebrate with them and her grandparent’s presented the two with a tree to plant right where he asked her to spend the rest of his life with her. I love beautiful stories like theirs.
