J + W reached out to me in the midst of busy season to ask for some advice about their microwedding. We chatted for a little while as I was heading to an elopement that morning, and I sent them a few resources after our call to help give them some ideas. After a bit of deliberation, they came back to me with some ideas: Mount Magazine in the wintertime! I was totally in!
Their wedding day was so simple and sweet, and surprisingly warm! We enjoyed balmy temperatures and just a gentle breeze at Arkansas’ highest point. And even though it was wintertime, there was still a lot of beautiful color all around!
J walked down the aisle with her dad and they exchanged some vows while their boys read different scriptural passages. Afterwards, everyone lit a candle to symbolize their union as well as their connection to their families. It was so sweet! We took some adventurous portraits just down the road before they headed off to dinner. It was the perfect post-Christmas elopement at Mount Magazine!
Don’t be afraid of having a winter wedding or elopement at Mount Magazine! Although it can be cold, it’s still very beautiful and there are more mild weather days than you would expect!
