Winter isn’t the first season that comes to mind when couples think about eloping in Arkansas! Arkansas winters can be unpredictable so there is always the concern of whether or not you’re going to get tons of snow, icy rain or beautiful, mild temperatures. But some couples thrive on all the opportunities that winter brings! Here are some of my favorite elopement options for winter in Arkansas!
St. Catherine’s is a beautiful scottish chapel in the heart of Fayetteville, Arkansas. You can get married inside the heated chapel and take photos outside, running back inside to warm up if needed. Plus the chapel is situated very close to the parking lot, so you’re able to stay inside to warm up if necessary. There is the option to elope inside the chapel (along with 10-15 guests) or outside the chapel (15+ guests).
Feeling collegiate and wanting to pay tribute to your alma mater? I LOVE a good elopement in front of Old Main at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville or on the Old Main Lawn by the Inn at Carnall Hall. You can have your elopement outside underneath the beautiful oaks on senior walk and then head inside the Inn for a gorgeous holiday feast with your friends and family.
Yes, this elopement photo was taken in DECEMBER! I’m not kidding. Mount Magazine is the highest point in Arkansas, but it seems to retain its beautiful color year-round. You can rent a cabin at Mount Magazine and say your vows on the back porch overlooking the hills below or venture out to some of my favorite bluffs at sunset for epic winter elopement photos. Don’t forget your elegant long-sleeved wedding dress!
I’m obsessed with the rugged terrain and golden and blue hues of White Rock Mountain in the winter. This spot, just south of Fayetteville, is a fan favorite because it faces west and has the most dreamy views at sunset. But even on a cloudy day, you can find no shortage of incredible views incorporating the geology and muted colors of the area.
If you want to stay indoors but still want a stylish, retro Arkansas elopement location that’s in the heart of it all, you’ll want to check out the kitschy Graduate Hotel on the square in downtown Fayetteville. Chock full of gorgeous wall art, photo op spots including a full wall of American flags and beautiful suites perfect for a microwedding, this hotel really has it all. And I’m not usually a weddings-in-hotels kind of person!
