I finally got to visit Yosemite National Park for Jlynn and John’s adventurous wedding photo session. It was everything I dreamed it would be. Jlynn and John wanted a beautiful iconic Yosemite elopement backdrop and so we decided to hike to Taft Point for this stunning sunset shot.
Taft Point is a perfect location for a Yosemite Elopement– the colors were phenomenal and just outstanding, and the hike down was pleasant and not too crowded.
Eloping in Yosemite isn’t too difficult! You just want to make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to get to your dream location. Applying for a permit takes about two months and the wedding permit is $150. You are able to take photos any time of day with the permit! Some of my favorite Yosemite Elopement locations are Taft Point, Glacier Point, Tunnel Point and the El Capitan Meadow. 🙂
