I’m so excited to share this interview with you! Heroncrest is one of my favorite new venues in Northwest Arkansas and owners Robert and Beau are so helpful and down to earth! They make an amazing team and have created a gorgeous venue with clean lines, lakeside views and a top of the line client experience! Q: What do you do currently ?

A:Hello! Robert and I are owners of Heroncrest, the best way to describe what we do is a little bit of everything. We are passionate hands-on people that pride ourselves in dreaming up big ideas and getting stuff done. We have been working on Heroncrest for over 11 years and just wrapped up our first wedding in August of this year. So we are open and ready to share our newest venture with NWA!

Q: How did you get involved in working in the wedding industry?

A: We both have worked around the industry for years. Helping out at friends’ weddings and corporate events so we have been behind the scenes many times. Knowing that our legacy was to build an event venue and establish Elmdale Estate we have always been on the lookout for ideas and details we wanted to incorporate in Heroncrest. We have always longed for the perfect combination of location and amenities when attending events and we took our time till we could truly bring something special to Northwest Arkansas. We hope to establish a new experience for people to interact and to come together that inspires them and helps give them new energy.

Q: What’s the most important thing couples should consider when choosing their wedding venue?

A: Make sure to understand everything you are getting and what you will have to pay for with your rental. We looked at over 15 contracts from local and national venues when planning Heroncrest and we took note of how some venues would seem to get you in with a low initial cost but ratchet up the cost with additional fees and line items. We have really worked hard to save clients time and money and to make their wedding at Heroncrest stress-free and memorable in the right ways. We have been to a lot of weddings and have seen a lot of events, gone wrong, and worked into our plans ways that would future proof our venue to avoid those gaps. Besides being so gorgeous there are a lot of features we worked into the building and amenities that will help brides save money and be able to better work with their vendors.

Q: What tips do you have for couples who just aren’t sure where to begin when it comes to selecting their wedding venue?

A: It can be an overwhelming task. There are a lot of options and our suggestion is to find a planner that really knows what you want and have them help you on that journey. Wedding Planning Professionals have a lot of knowledge and first-hand experience with venues and will be able to help you make a decision and find the right fit.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your work?

A: When people arrive, seeing their first reactions. We have lived on the land for over 3 years and have grown somewhat accustomed to how convenient the location is and how the property is so peaceful and serene. It never gets old seeing how clients and vendors have reacted when coming on a tour.

Q: What makes your venue unique or special?

A: We are honestly one of the most convenient locations if you are looking for people from across NWA to attend. We are also one of the only venues situated on a body of water with 180-degree view of the lake. Lastly, since we built this from the ground up we also make a point to build this as a commercial building so every aspect of this building is made to last. Even though the location and scenery are all about being in nature the building is a refined space that lends itself to high-end events and the most demanding clients.

Q: Any other tips for couples who are planning their wedding for 2020 or 2021?

A: [We] cannot stress enough about how important it is to hire the right professionals. We have worked with some of the most talented people in the industry and we believe the best way for you and your guests to have the perfect wedding would be to make sure you have the right support from the beginning.
