A + M rolled with the punches when Sam’s Throne closed unexpectedly earlier in the month. They said, no worries, let’s just go to Hawksbill Crag! I was so thankful that they were gracious and up for the extra hike at sunset.
We started by meeting their families at Steel Creek, where they had a simple ceremony beneath the painted bluffs. Afterwards, we took family photos and they adventured around in the sunshine. We made sure to give ourselves extra time to head out to Hawksbill Crag just in time for golden hour.
Once we reached Hawksbill, these two exchanged heartfelt vows and I signed their marriage license. It was so special! The colors were just starting to change and it felt so magical being out there. Plus, with it being a weekday, we had the place completely to ourselves!
I love being a Buffalo River elopement photographer! Not to brag, but I’ve been adventuring out here and taking photos since 2018. I love showing off this beautiful part of the world for folks who truly appreciate it. I even meet my husband while working at Camp Orr on the Buffalo River in 2013, so it’s a special place and oh so close to my heart.
