Downtown Bentonville Engagement Photo Session

These two really wanted more of a urban vibe for their engagement session, which I love. I don’t always do a ton of urban engagements and elopements — I enjoy doing them, but most of my couples like more of the adventurous engagement photos out in nature. It was refreshing to work with these two to capture something more contemporary for their day. We explored around Downtown Bentonville, starting in front of the Ledger— a brand new multipurpose building that is also a wedding venue! We walked to the top of that building and did photos there at sunset and then headed to 21C hotel and documenting photos there at the parking garage and in front of Wright’s BBQ.

I live just north of this spot so it was really fun to explore the area and take photos in more of an urban landscape. The colors were really beautiful in the late winter and I loved how everything turned out and I loved the bright colored outfits these two brought. It was fun to explore and get to know them better ahead of their intimate wedding day this summer.

I really like Downtown Bentonville for engagement photos because it is so modern. There are a lot of cool backdrops to work with for photos, including The Momentary, Crystal Bridges, the various murals, the modern bars such as Lady Slipper, 21C Hotel, Compton Gardens and trail as well as the downtown area itself, the top of the Ledger. There truly are so many options if you’re looking for something more modern and contemporary and architectural for your engagement photos.
