1. Loveland Pass

   Loveland Pass makes the top of my list because it’s a spot that’s open year round, it’s close to Denver, you don’t have to have a permit to elope and it’s surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes. It’s seriously one of my favorite spots for eloping, and you can literally climb 10-11 stairs and have a gorgeous view, or you can choose to hike higher for a more secluded location.

2. Sapphire Point

   Another spot near Dillon is Sapphire Point- this beautiful West facing panoramic point is beautiful in all seasons and is extremely accessible.

3. Blue Lakes

   Blue Lakes is another location in Breckenridge that is absolutely stunning- you’ll want to have four wheel drive to get out there, though.

4. Lake Dillon

   Lake Dillon is right off 70, and is a beautiful backdrop for any elopement. The southeast shore is the prettiest overlook, in my opinion. 🙂

5. Rocky Mountain National Park

   RMNP is an iconic place to elope in the mountains— however, you will need a permit to elope in certain areas. Some of my favorite places to take photos after your elopement is the Beaver Meadows trail, Bear Lake and Dream Lake, as well as Trail Ridge Road if it’s open (it’s only open from May-August, and is the highest highway in the US).

6. Lost Gulch Overlook

   This is another beautiful location that’s just a few minutes from Boulder— it’s a beautiful scenic overlook that is also very accessible, although extremely busy at sunset and on the weekends.

7. Paint Mines Interpretive Park

   If you’re looking for somewhere closer to Colorado Springs with a different terrain than typical mountains, you might want to check out the gorgeous painted mines in Kiowa, just about an hour east of Colorado Springs.

8. Sand Dunes National Preserve

   This is another gorgeous location that’s a little different than the typical Colorado landscape. With towering tan-colored sand dunes and mountains behind them, this is an absolutely epic spot to elope in Colorado.
